Hi guys, I am back with a blog about a sport that we all watch. Cricket. I like cricket very much. So, I will write about it.
Cricket was started in England in the eighteenth century. Soon, everybody got to know about it. The first match was played by England and Australia. It was a test match at Melbourne which was finished in 4 days.
Top 10 rules of cricket:-
- In cricket, there are always two teams and 22 players.
- Ruling of the umpire is final.
- Every six balls make an over.
- Duration of the game is negotiated.
- Professional cricket matches are fixed.
- Batsman runs for a run or 2. Bat should touch crease.
- When the ball hits the boundary after pitching once or more it is a four.
- Overthrows are allowed.
- If hits wicket, it is out.
- If at least one bail falls it is out.
Bowling:-
- Fast- Here the ball is bowled fast by the bowler(161 mph) fast to the batsman. Medium fast is a type of fast(135 mph).
- Medium- The ball can come slower as the bowler bounces the ball more.
- Spin- The bowler makes the ball spin to the right or left. Off spin goes right. Finger spin where you use two fingers is a type of off spin. Leg spin goes left. Wrist spin is a type of leg spin.
- Slow- The ball comes at the speed of a hare + 5 tortoise(81 mph). Batsmen should have patience.
Batting:-
- Opener- He comes first batting and uses the power play.
- Extra 2- After openers are out, these 2 comes to play.
- Middle order- Four batsmen who are mostly all-rounders hit big.
- Last 3- The last 3 are mostly bowlers and don’t hit much.
Fun facts:-
- Rahul Dravid is called the wall for his defense in test matches.
- Yuvraj singh holds the fastest T20 50. He hit it in 15 balls.
- AB de villiers also known as Mr. 360 hit the fastest ODI 50. He took 16 balls.
- Shahid Afridi used Sachin Tendulkar’s bat to hit the fastest century in ODI cricket.
- Peter Siddle took a hat trick on his birthday.
- Gayle is also called Gayleforce
- Sachin Tendulkar came as a substitute fielder for Pakistan against India.
